Well the time we have all been….Hmmm…Ok, come Monday Microsoft will have put the virtual final nail in the coffin of XP inspite of the protest of 200k people who signed a petition to keep it going. The good news though is that XP will continue to be supported until 2014 - you just wont be able to buy it off the shelves or get it on a new computer.

So what do we really think of this situation and even more so, based on a previous article that was written over a year ago when Vista was originally release? Well, XP is still running on the laptop that came with Vista that time and to this date there has been no issues with it. Still humming, no crashes, all the applications work, it has 3rd party anti-X, firewall, latest drivers and security patches, etc. All is well there. (more…)

The WiMax Forum has announced its first mobile WiMax products to receive a certified seal of approval. A critical step the forum says that will ensure interoperability between ranges of mobile WiMax equipment. Postdata, Runcom Technologies, Samsung Electronics and Sequans Communications had four (4) base stations and four (4) subscriber units for the 2.3 GHz band approved.

The forum also announced it will introduce certified mobile WiMax equipment in the 2.5 GHz band in the next few months. In all, the forum says it will certify more than 100 products by the end of 2008.

Sony Ericsson is enbarking on taking on the US market seriously. They have realized that they aren’t catching much fish (US) with the Symbian OS bait as easily as they do with the European and the rest the of the world markets. MS Mobile is more palatable to the US taste..so is Blackberry therefore Enter The Xperia! SE first foray into the MS Mobile market and not a bad one at that. Some Yah-Sayers saying its the iPhone killer but honestly that is really too previous. There is no way its going to sell as well as the iPhone but it will sell well if marketed properly. Tech donations like these are definitely accepted with much appreciation to boot.
